Teach-out Plan

It is Concordia’s responsibility to provide a teach-out agreement for each program. Please see below for the accredited institutions with which Concordia has made agreements, and the programs that correspond to these agreements. No student is obligated to enroll at one of the institutions with which Concordia has made teach-out agreements. For the program listed, the institution will provide pathways for both teach-out and transfer students. Please see each institution’s Teach-out Webpage for more information about application, registration, and cost. All teach-out agreements are subject to final regulatory approval.

Concordia College New York will not offer any more classes after August 31. Concordia will make its final degree conferrals on December 31st, 2021, subject to MSCHE approval. Any student who plans to complete their Concordia degree at one of the institutions with which Concordia has made a teach-out agreement must complete their degree requirements and transfer their earned credits back to Concordia before December 31st to be considered for a Concordia College degree conferral. Students: please note that this information does NOT apply to students who will simply transfer to another institution and earn their degree from that institution.

Teach-out Agreements (now under regulatory review) that Concordia has signed with its teach-out partner institutions stipulate that tuition and fees will not increase for Concordia students who transfer to or participate in teach-out agreements with these institutions.

Q: Am I transfer or teach-out student?

A: Transfer students are Concordia students who transfer to another institution to complete their chosen program at that institution, and who plan to receive a degree from that institution in May of 2022 or beyond. Teach-out students are Concordia students who can (and choose to) complete program requirements at Concordia or a Teach-Out Partner Institution to earn a Concordia degree in August of 2021 or December 2021.

Next Steps: Teach-Out Students

Teach-Out students are Concordia students who can (and choose to) complete program requirements at Concordia or a Teach-Out Partner Institution to earn a Concordia degree in August 2021 or December 2021.

Teach-Out students who successfully took summer courses at Concordia or elsewhere to complete their degree, and who applied for August 31 degree conferral will receive their diplomas through the mail in September or October.

Concordia students who are completing program requirements at Teach-out institutions in the fall for December 31, 2021 degree conferral are also teach-out students and will earn a Concordia degree upon completion of the following steps.

If you can finish your program in the fall at a Teach-Out Partner Institution, follow these steps:

  1. Be sure that your Concordia advisor and the registrar know what you are taking, so that everyone is sure that you will meet all program requirements. Contact the Teach-Out Partner Institution now, if you haven’t already.
  2. Work with your Concordia advisor and the personnel at the Teach-Out Partner Institution to make a plan for your remaining courses that will meet all Concordia program requirements. This is critical, as they may need to offer certain classes that they typically do not in order to help you finish.
  3. Follow the application/registration procedures at the new institution.
  4. Apply for December 2021 graduation/degree conferral no later than October 31, 2021 .
  1. After grades have been posted you must send a copy of your official transcript to Concordia College.
  • Transcripts can be sent electronically to registrar@concordia-ny.edu or via standard postal mail (to Concordia College, Attn: Registrar, 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville NY 10708). Upon receipt of the official transcript Concordia will articulate all transferable coursework back to your program per the course crosswalk or the course description.
  • Students must meet the minimum grade requirement for all courses being transferred. This can vary by program and course. Please review your DegreeWorks planner to ensure you have the correct information.
  • Concordia College must be in receipt of all official transcripts by December 30, 2021 for December degree conferral.

Next Steps: Transfer Students

Transfer students are Concordia students who transfer to another institution to complete their chosen program at that institution, and who plan to receive a degree from that institution in May of 2022 or beyond.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Rachel.Eells@concordia-ny.edu or Christopher.Dambrosio@concordia-ny.edu .

Transfer students need to do the following:

  1. Talk to your Concordia advisor as needed, for advice and suggestions about completing in a timely manner.
  2. Be aware that our Teach-Out Partner Institutions have committed to helping Concordia students move through their programs in a timely way, and have compared programs to make sure that there is a good fit.
  3. Follow the application/registration procedures at the new institution.
